Refutation: Naqshbandi Belief of Sharing Allah’s Power

The Accusation muhur.jpg

THE ISLAMIC(WAHHABI) BELIEF: None shares with the command of Allah (subhaanahu wa ta`aalaa) says in the Quraan – “Verily, His (Allah’s) command, when He intends a thing,is only that he says to it, “Be! And it is!” – (Chapter 36, Verse 82); and in another place in the Quraan, Allah says = “They have no protector other than Him (Allah); nor does He share His command with any person whatsoever.” – (18:26)

THE NAQSHBANDI BELIEF: Sheikh shares with the command of Allah On page 33 of the book Mercy Oceans – Part 1, it reads “The Power of the wali is such that he only needs to say Kun (be) and that will be. “The above is another example of Shirk (association) in the aspect of the Lordship of Allah, since the Islamic principle of the Lordship of Allah states that no created being can share in Gods attributes and infinite qualities, and any
attempt to givethe ivine attributes to creation is referred to as Shirk (association), the antithesis of Tawheed (singling out Allah alone for worship).

REFUTING THE ABOVE STATEMENTS:

Bismillahi Rahmani Raheem, Allahumma Swalli Ala Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa Ala Aali Sayyidina Muhammadin Wa Sallim

The above Wahhabi statement does not prove that Allah does not give anyone the powers. All Power belongs to Allah, but HE give Power to whomever He Wish. So if Allah wish to give “Power” to someone, He Say: “Kun” and the Power Will be given to the one Whom Allah Wish to give Power.

Allah Says in Quran: 3:26(  Yusuf Ali): Say: “O Allah! Lord of Power (And Rule), Thou givest power to whom Thou pleasest, and Thou strippest off power from whom Thou pleasest: Thou enduest with honour whom Thou pleasest, and Thou bringest low whom Thou pleasest: In Thy hand is all good. Verily, over all things Thou hast power.

Quran 16:65 And Allah has sent down rain from the sky and given life thereby to the earth after its lifelessness. Indeed in that is a sign for a people who listen.

Example for 16:65, Though Allah Send down the Rain, there are angels in authority who are appointed for it. Angel Michael alaihissalam is in charge of storms  and other natural phenomena!

Quran 40:68 He it is Who gives life and causes death, so when He decrees an affair, He only says to it, Be, and it is.

Proof: It is the Angel of death who take the Soul of every believer though Allah cause death, Allah has given the authority to an Angel (Azrail alaihissalam) who take the Soul during death. And it is the Angel Who is Appointed to Form Life in the Womb

FURTHER PROOF: ANGEL SHARING THE COMMAND OF ALLAH (ALLAH IS NOT DIRECTLY COMMANDING IN THE WOMB), THE ANGEL SHARE THE KNOWLEDGE OF THE LIFE OF THAT IN THE WOMB:

On the authority of Abdullah ibn Masood (may Allah be pleased with him), who said:

The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and he is the truthful, the believed, narrated to us, “Verily the creation of each one of you is brought together in his mother’s womb for forty days in the form of a nutfah (a drop), then he becomes an alaqah (clot of blood) for a like period, then a mudghah (morsel of flesh) for a like period, then there is sent to him the angel who blows his soul into him and who is commanded with four matters: to write down his rizq (sustenance), his life span, his actions, and whether he will be happy or unhappy (i.e., whether or not he will enter Paradise). By the One, other than Whom there is no deity, verily one of you performs the actions of the people of Paradise until there is but an arms length between him and it, and that which has been written overtakes him, and so he acts with the actions of the people of the Hellfire and thus enters it; and verily one of you performs the actions of the people of the Hellfire, until there is but an arms length between him and it, and that which has been written overtakes him and so he acts with the actions of the people of Paradise and thus he enters it.” [Bukhari & Muslim], IMAM NAWAWI IN 40 HADITH

TO FOLLOW THE GOD GIVEN AUTHORITY AMONG YOU:

Quran 4:59 O you who have believed, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you.

Through this verse, it is evident that it is to follow those who are the Caliphs, Ahlul Bayth and Pious Awliya Allah. And religion is sincerity to them.  This are recorded in Sahih Muslim and Jami At-Tirmidhi

On the authority of Tameem ibn Aus ad-Daree (may Allah be pleased with him):The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, “The deen (religion) is naseehah (sincerity).” We said “To whom?” He (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said “To Allah, His Book, His Messenger, and to the leaders of the Muslims and their common folk.[Muslim]

FURTHER PROOF:

Prophet Isa alaihissalam sharing the Command of Allah and giving life to the dead!

Quran 3:49 And will make him [‘Iesa (Jesus)] a Messenger to the Children of Israel (saying): “I have come to you with a sign from your Lord, that I design for you out of clay, as it were, the figure of a bird, and breathe into it, and it becomes a bird by Allah’s Leave; and I heal him who was born blind, and the leper, and I bring the dead to life by Allah’s Leave. And I inform you of what you eat, and what you store in your houses. Surely, therein is a sign for you, if you believe.

Prophet Suleiman (Alaihissalam) having command over the Wind, Birds , jinns and other creatures.4

034.012 And to Solomon (We made) the Wind (obedient): Its early morning (stride)
was a month’s (journey), and its evening (stride) was a month’s (journey); and We
made a Font of molten brass to flow for him; and there were Jinns that worked in
front of him, by the leave of his Lord, and if any of them turned aside from our
command, We made him taste of the Penalty of the Blazing Fire.

034.013 They worked for him as he desired, (making) arches, images, basons as large
as reservoirs, and (cooking) cauldrons fixed (in their places): “Work ye, sons of
David, with thanks! but few of My servants are grateful!”

In another Verse the Holy Qur’an says: “And before Sulaiman were marshalled his hosts–of Jinns, and men and birds and they were all in order and ranks.” (21: 17)

“And (We made) the wind subservient to Sulaiman whereof the morning course was a month’s journey and the course a month’s journey.” (54:12)

“So We subjected the wind to his power, setting fair by his command withersoever he intended” (38:36)

“And unto Sulaiman We subdued the wind in its raging.  It flows by his order towards the land which We had blessed And of every thing We are aware.” (21:81)

PROPHET MUSA (A.S) COMMANDING SEA:

So We revealed to Moses , “Strike the sea with your staff.” And it split in two, each part like a towering cliff. And We brought the others right up to it. We rescued Moses and all those who were with him. Then We drowned the rest. There is certainly a Sign in that yet most of them are not believers. Truly your Lord is the Almighty, the Most Merciful. (Qur’an, 26:63-68)

PROPHET MUHAMMAD ALAIHISWALATHU WA SALAM SHARING THE COMMAND OF ALLAH:

Quran 24:46  We have certainly sent down distinct verses. And Allah guides whom He wills to a straight path.

Allah gives through his Beloved Prophet (alaihiswalathu wa salam)

Bukhari :Book 4 : Volume 53 : Hadith 346 Narrated Muawiya: Allah’s Apostle said, “If Allah wants to do good for somebody, he makes him comprehend the Religion (i.e. Islam), and Allah is the Giver and I am Al-Qasim (i.e. the distributor), and this (Muslim) nation will remain victorious over their opponents, till Allah’s Order comes and they will still be victorious “

Imam Malik’s Muwatta:  Malik related to me from Ibn Shihab from Muhammad ibn Jubayr ibn Mutim that the Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, said, “I have five names. I am Muhammad. I am Ahmad. I am al-Mahi (the effacer), by whom Allah effaces kufr. I am al-Hashir (the gatherer), before whom people are gathered. I am al-Aqib (the last).” 7

PIOUS SAINTS:

Maryam (R.A) Mother Prophet Isa (A.S)

So her Lord (Allah) accepted her with goodly acceptance. He made her grow in a good manner and put her under the care of Zakariya (Zachariya). Every time he entered Al-Mihrab to (visit) her, he found her supplied with sustenance. He said: “O Maryam (Mary)! From where have you got this?” She said, “This is from Allah.” Verily, Allah provides sustenance to whom He wills, without limit.”

While Wahhabiya deny miracles of Saints, While Maryam (A.S) is not a Prophet, but a Great Saint of Allah, who showed miracles in her prayer room.

WHAT ABOUT THE PIOUS SAINTS OF THIS NATION?:

Prophet Muhammad (alaihiswalathu wa salam) says: “Scholars are the heirs of Prophets”

In another narration it is said: “The Scholars of my nation are like the Prophets of Bani Israel”

So who are real scholars?. Are Prophets book and university scholars?

Did they teach from Universities and colleges?

The verses are clearly about the Saints (Awliya Allah) of this Ummah!

THE SHAYKH OF WAHHABIS IBN TAYMIYYA SAYS:

Imam Ibn Taymiyya About Miracles of Saints

“It is said that after the Seal of Prophets (s), revelation does not descend upon anyone else. Why not? In fact it does, but then it is not called ‘revelation.’ It is what the Prophet (s) referred to when he said, ‘The believer sees with the Light of God.’ When the believer looks with God’s Light, he sees all things: the first and the last, the present and the absent. For how can anything be hidden from God’s Light? And if something is hidden, then that is not the Light of God. Therefore the meaning of revelation exists, even if it is not called revelation.”

From Rama’s Fihi ma fihi.

Ibn Taymiyya continues in the same book, Majmu’a Fatawi Ibn Taymiyya: “What is considered as a miracle for a saint is that sometimes the saint might hear something that others do not hear or see something that others do not see, not while asleep, but in a wakened state of vision. He can know things that others cannot know, through revelation or inspiration.”

In another book, Mukhtasar al-Fatawa al-Masriyya, published by al-Madani Publishing House, 1980, page 603, he writes: “The miracles of saints are absolutely true and correct, and acknowledged by all Muslim scholars. The Qur’an has pointed to it in different places, and the Hadith of the Prophet (s) have mentioned it, and whoever denies the miraculous power of saints are innovators or following innovators.”

Imam Ibn Taymiyya mentions in Al Majmua Fatwa Ibn Taymiyya , page 190: “A servant of Allah, Almighty and Exalted, cannot be considered a saint unless he is a true believer. Allah mentions in Qur’an, Surat Yunus, 62-63: “Now surely, on the friends of Allah there is no fear, nor shall they grieve; those who believe and guard against evil.”

He then quotes the famous hadith from Sahih Bukhari: “My servant draws not near to Me with anything more loved by Me than the religious duties I have enjoined upon him, and My servant continues to draw near to Me with supererogatory works so that I shall love him. When I love him I am his hearing with which he hears, his seeing with which he sees, his hand with which he strikes and his foot with which he walks. Were he to ask [something] of Me, I would surely give it to him, and were he to ask Me for refuge, I would surely grant him it. I do not hesitate about anything as much as I hesitate about [seizing] the soul of My faithful servant: he hates death and I hate hurting him.”

He explains the phrase, “Whoever comes against one of My saints is challenging Me to fight” thus: “It means that Allah is expressing: ‘I will seek revenge against anyone who comes against My saints like an aggressive lion.’” (p. 314)

He said (volume 11, page 313): “Allah Almighty will unveil to his saints states that have never been unveiled before and He will give them support without measure. If that saint begins to speak from the things of the unseen, past or present or future, it is considered from the viewpoint of Bab al-cilm al-khariq, miraculous knowledge. Anything that a saint does which is from the unseen, for people or for listeners, of healing or teaching knowledge, it is accepted and we must thank Allah for it.”

He continues quoting the Prophet’s saying about the saints: “You are the witnesses of Allah on earth.”

Which can be read: 3:18 Allah witnesses that there is no deity except Him, and [so do] the angels and those of knowledge – [that He is] maintaining [creation] in justice. There is no deity except Him, the Exalted in Might, the Wise.

This refer to Awliya Allah, for they are the exalted witness of Tawheed on earth. Others reading about Tawheed from some books according to their capacity and understanding by intelligence., not by understanding in Spirit!.

Because Book Tawheed is accessible to all groups and sects!, that kind of book tawheed is with all people. Quran is not speaking about that kind of tawheed in the above verse!

THE ORIGIN OF THE ABOVE WAHHABIYA BELIEF: “NO ONE SHARE ALLAH’S COMMAND!

Wahhabiya, the successors of Kharij, have adopted this belief from their ancestors (Kharij) who revolt against Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (R.A) ,fourth Caliph of Islam. Kharij rejected the Power and Authority of Imam Ali and said: “No power for anyone except for Allah”

Sahih Muslim: ‘Ubaidullah b. Abu Rafi’, the freed slave of the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam), said: When Haruriya (The Khawarij) set out and as he was with ‘Ali b. Abu Talib (Allah be pleased with him) they said,” There is no command but that of Allah.”Upon this ‘Ali said: The statement is true but it is intentionally applied (to support) a wrong (cause). The Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam described their characteristics and I found these characteristics in them. They state the truth with their tongue, but it does not go beyond this part of their bodies (and the narrator pointed towards his throat). The most hateful among the creation of Allah is one black man among them (Khawarij). One of his hand is like the teat of a goat or the nipple of the breast. When ‘Ali b. Abu Talib (Allah be pleased with him) killed them, he said: Search (for his dead body). They searched for him, but they did not find it (his dead body). Upon this he said: Go (and search for him). By Allah, neither I have spoken a lie nor has the lie been spoken to me. ‘Ali said this twice and thrice. They then found him (the dead body) in a rain. They brought (his dead) body till they placed it before him (Ali). ‘Ubaidullah said: And, I wa! s present at (that place) when this happened and when ‘Ali said about them. A person narrated to me from Ibn Hanain that he said: I saw that black man.[Sahih Muslim: Book 005, Number 2334]

‘Ali said: I heard the Messenger of Allah (SallAllah-u-Alaihi-wa-Sallam) as saying: There would arise at the end of the age a people who would be young in age and immature in thought, but they would talk (in such a manner) as if their words are the best among the creatures. They would recite the Qur’an, but it would not go beyond their throats, and they would pass through the Deen as an arrow goes through the prey. So when you meet them, kill them, for in their killing you would get a reward with Allah on the Day of Judgment.[Sahih Muslim: Book 005, Number 2328]
